The mating side was in bad shape too, of course.
I think it’s good practice to keep the shape close to the original. Casual modifications often cause problems down the road.
The cam showed almost no scuffing—excellent condition.
All the plugs are black, which is concerning. The cap seating is inconsistent. It helps to measure the cap depth before screwing it in.
Synchronization was spot-on. Work complete.
