A simple question about the remaining thickness of the drum shoes.

I thought it would be fine just checking the indicator, but…
When I actually moved the lever,
it didn’t enter the “red zone” until quite a bit of travel.

Since there’s no new one to compare against, I was a bit worried about not being able to check numerically.
When I looked it up properly, I found it in the manual.

Any job is impossible without a service manual

The manual states it like this.
However, since wear isn’t uniform, you need to take that into account when checking.

I also roughed up the drum side with waterproof sandpaper.
After a test ride, it grabbed firmly without any squealing.

That’s how we completed the work.
Today was warm and sunny, so the traffic at Komazawa Park was pretty bad~
