Bandit 1200 Oil-cooled maintenance
Quite a bit of abnormal noise. The damper was clicking and falling apart, causing rattling. This is the first time I’ve seen it in this condition.
I thought the gears might be rattling too, but they turned out to be fine.
The engine damper was also quite worn.
There’s general seizing throughout.
The interior has discolored somewhat to a brownish tone.
Someone must have pried at this somewhere… just reporting it. You don’t need to do that—if you use your head, it comes off easily.
We synchronized it. It should be running much quieter now and performing better.
