We’re handling the fine details. This is the right pulsar cover slider that was brought in.
We’re fastening a metal bolt to plastic, and since it’s on the engine cover, there’s a risk of oil leakage. So we pressed in a sleeve to make sure it can be tightened properly.
The genuine Nissin tank has a sleeve pressed in like this too, so it’s a reliable setup.
I’ve never really liked how the GSX1100S secures this screen. It uses a flanged rubber with no sleeve, so the tightness is questionable and it feels really unsatisfying.
We secured it with a genuine flanged plastic collar instead.
