So much time has passed that I’ve updated the title.
Today we closed up for an emergency maintenance day.
I’ve secured punching mesh to the SDA single seat base, so you should be able to place things like your registration certificate or inspection documents on it.
I made a mounting bracket for the direct battery relay and thought I was done with the sheet metal work, but it turned out I’d made it backwards…
It’s strange how it ends up backwards even after checking multiple times.
Just arranging things this way took a whole day… It might seem mundane, but isn’t it great when you pull the seat off and think, ‘Wow, that looks clean!’
The wiring layout, component accessibility and serviceability, and overall clean appearance end up taking more time than the actual fabrication.
It’s still temporarily secured, but since we’re working with plastic, I’m handling it with plastic fasteners. The more bolts and nuts you add, the heavier and busier it looks.
