This Continental tire is very popular.
Being a radial tire, it has a very high level of precision and feels like a modern tire.
After properly seating the bead and spinning it solo, it has very little radial and lateral runout—a really modern finish. It looks like it’ll have a great ride feel too.
Fork oil replacement was also requested, so we took care of that.
It might be overkill, but keeping future disassembly cycles in mind, we replaced the lower clamp bolts with studs.
Since I prefer small-diameter nuts, we went with a 12 mm across-flats size.
We check the inner tube wear pattern and adjust the assembly accordingly. Interestingly, it’s exactly 180 degrees.
This time we finished with a gun metal treatment. Aiyama stopped by, so we called it a day here ★
