Lately, theft seems to be happening more and more… I really don’t think this is someone else’s problem.
Sure, the thieves are wrong, but I think the victims bear some responsibility too.
Most people think it won’t happen to them… (I’m guilty of that too).
I wish people would take security seriously… If you have any spare cash, consider renting a garage or
asking to park on a friend’s property….
Every now and then I do the math: garage rental (around $200 a month in Tokyo) × 12 = $2,400 a year.
But if you park on the street, it rusts, gets stolen, needs washing every time it rains—when you factor in all that hassle, it kind of breaks even?
A lot of people don’t have spare time. Your precious weekend time is meant for actually riding, right?
But parts thieves are really the worst…
You might put new parts on, only to have them stolen again…
To them, your bike must look like a money tree…
