Tighten it and it stops leaking… but first, think through the structure before you start work.
Pay close attention to stepped bolts like this one. You won’t know until you remove it, but…
Once the gasket shrinks and oil starts leaking, the bolt is already bottomed out in the holder, so tightening it won’t compress the gasket any further.
If it starts leaking, don’t just tighten it—replace the gasket.
It doesn’t look like a custom bracket job…
