Man, it’s really cold!
It’s a bone-chilling cold. Really! I’m not feeling motivated.
A really nice Bandit 1200 K6.
It hasn’t been ridden for a while and is running rough. It’s running on one cylinder, so let’s check the carburettor for now.
Stock carburettor maintenance… ¥32,300
If the engine is hard to start, idling is erratic, or the exhaust smells like gasoline, check the carburettor.
The exterior looks clean.
Except for #4, it looks sooty from backfiring.
I see, it’s gotten a bit gummed up.
Especially #1 and #2 are slightly clogged.
We’ll clean it thoroughly.
Let’s replace all the bolts.
For some reason, the bolts on the K6 never come out easily.
It’s not too far out of spec.
All that’s left is a test ride and we’re done! ★
