It hasn’t reached the new owner yet, but this coming weekend…
 

 
It’s being built with a rather unconventional spec.
The mounting PCD/center bore/offset matches the oil-cooled Katana.
The contact surface is designed for the big Brembo with a 28 mm width and 5.5 mm thickness.
Now we can finally feel confident.
 

 
Back in the day, the better approach was to think about the final form and install parts accordingly.
We chose the wheels to match the brake components we wanted to use.
Since it’s Sunstar, we have absolute confidence in the quality, and this build has been a huge help.
 

 
Marchesini 5R—I still think this is Marchesini’s best design.
Back when they were sold normally, "there were complaints like “hard to clean” and “looks like worm tracks,” but modern wheels are even more of a hassle to maintain. It’s definitely a wheel worth having one set of in your collection.
