A customer came by in the evening!
The time before they arrived was an awkward gap.
The silencer band is positioned quite far forward and rattles around quite a bit.
It’s better to position it more toward the center or rear.
While waiting, I’m doing some service work and notcher testing.
A quick vise I bought quite a while ago for holding pipes in the milling machine.
It’s V-shaped, which makes pipe clamping easy.
With this, I can use it like a pipe notcher.
After drilling a pilot hole in the collar for welding, threading takes five seconds with the tapper.
Then it’s just a matter of bending and welding.
Just stretching it causes runout, so I added a support wing.
Still just temporarily fixed. ★
Tomorrow I’ll attach another threaded collar and give it a quick blast.
I’m doing this on my own, so it’s a service. ★
If I had a light bender, I could make this faster… Hehe. ★
