GSF1200 Carburettor Maintenance (Special) Fuel Level and Synchronization
They disassembled it themselves and wanted us to check the fuel level and synchronization.
 

 
I just learned this recently! I’m pretty sure the BST36 comes in two types…
I think this is the later model.
 

 
Hmm, everything looks uniform, but the actual measurements are a bit off.
 

 
This part is key, so… we’re not using the factory O-rings as-is. ★
We’ll replace them.
 

 
There was some variation, which is probably why there’s carbon buildup.
After readjusting everything, in the end only #1 came out to a different value.
It’s extremely tedious work and takes a lot of time. ★ You won’t nail it on the first try.
1) Initial float level measurement
2) Blind three and measure just one with actual fuel level
3) Drain the gasoline
4) Adjust and re-check float level
It takes 30 minutes to an hour per cylinder—a really tedious adjustment—
and after adjustment, absolutely don’t touch the float arm!
