Thinking about environmental issues
Kawasaki’s OEM exhaust gasket is kind of underwhelming.
It’s a gasket that crushes easily, doesn’t hold well, and reusing it is questionable.
I use a Suzuki exhaust gasket instead.
It has a flange so it won’t fall out, and the fiber material in the center seems to be the key—it works several times over.
It’s 5.1 mm thick. Not everything works,
so it depends on the muffler—pay attention.
An unusual nut…
M8 × P1.25, 10 mm hex, no serrations, zinc-plated
Very handy—no more over-tightening. ★
