I hate how dirty this area gets
 

 
The bearing still has oil residue on it★
Time to swap it out for a double-sided seal! This way the grease inside lasts as long as possible.
No “C” specification required.
 

 
I originally planned to finish the rear maintenance too,
but the conversation ran so long we only got to the rear wheel

The oil seal needs replacing too★
Spinning it in this condition creates super friction!
The steel collar wears down and creates contact marks, so I’ll lightly skim the seal with a stone rotary tool.
As for how much effect that has, I’d say it’s more of a “peace of mind” level.
 

 
It fits by hand, so there’s no need to tap it in
Adding grease inside the lip should make it feel a bit smoother.
 

 
Chain adjusters cost just a few hundred yen, so we swap them out from stock★
