Well,
it’s been a while since I’ve seen a GS1000.
Rare spoke wheels.
For some reason the calipers are different on the right and left.
I checked the thread pitch, and if it was bad we were going to helicoil it, but both sides were fine.
The original bolts were a bit stubborn, so I swapped them out for those Yamaha ones.
There was a mysterious problem, so I checked the charging system for heat damage.
I replaced the burned-out parts.
This GS1000 has a separate regulator and rectifier,
so there’s a possibility the ground connection was iffy. I bypassed it to be safe.
All done!
