I hastily purchased a slightly old Town Ace “KR42V” at the end of last year
It can be used for relocations and movesand I should be going for inspections less frequently than when I was in Tokyo…
So it was changed from a truck to one with an interior!

I’m finally getting serious about converting it into a transport vehicle.
This is the second time. I need to know how much I can accommodate in terms of dimensions…

The simple construction is really nice.
The headlight is also a generic square type = can be changed to a multi-reflector.

Regarding width
Especially with an air-cooled Z’s STD handlebar, it feels a bit tight.
It seems to catch right at the narrow part.

The interior is tall, but the entrance is narrow, so you need to remove the mirrors on an air-cooled Z.
*The GSF1200 was fine as is.

Remove the rear seat. M10 × 2 bolts

The interior height is generous, so unloading is easy.
The gap with the rear gate is really tight…

One is co-fastened with the driver’s side seatbelt.

The other one reuses the rear seat mounting area.

The rear just uses the existing hooks for fixing, so prep was only needed up front.

At this width, it fits perfectly.

It would be better to fix it if possible, but with the bike secured at 6 points, there’s no problem.

The handlebar and footrest are firmly secured and won’t move.

There’s also a strategy of hanging it from above, but that would require major modifications, so I’m rejecting it.

The rear should be firmly secured at areas that don’t stroke.
If you direct it in the direction of widened wheels, it will be held securely.

Securing it as wide as possible will prevent vibration, so it’s reassuring.
