Toshiba and Gigabeat

I own an MP3 player called the Toshiba Gigabeat.
I can’t add or delete data.
With communication issues and a dead battery, I’ve been using it plugged in.
I’ve used it for quite a while now and it’s about at its limit—maybe I should go back to Apple.
But I figured I’d at least try replacing the battery.
So I contacted Toshiba about it ★
They said they’d look into it

A shipping company arranged by Toshiba came to pick it up, and “shipping was of course free.”
About a week after sending it, they called today.
1) The battery is no good, so we can replace it ★
2) We couldn’t confirm the communication issue on our end,
so you should be able to use it as is.

“We’re not sure, but we probably did some secret magic to it.”
That’s what they said ★
For the battery replacement, it’ll be “1050 yen.”
Of course shipping is free, and they’ll include a payment slip,
so please pay “the amount minus the transfer fee.”
How wonderful! This kind of support is really appreciated.
Let me sum it up…
1) The warranty period is incredibly long
2) They didn’t ask for a warranty certificate
3) Free shipping both ways
4) Free transfer fee
5) Pay after receiving the item
Of course!! I gave them plenty of praise.
“I just can’t buy anything but Toshiba anymore”
In the end, there’s only FLTR.
