SRX600 Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection / Engine Start Issue

So here’s the SRX600 that recently passed inspection.
It was quite a challenge, and we barely managed to get the inspection passed…

Let me check the valve clearance just to be sure…
I once saw an SRX with zero clearance back in the day
It would start in the morning, but once you shut it off in the parking lot, even a hard kick wouldn’t get it going
and it just wouldn’t start.
When I checked, the valve clearance was zero—or rather, the valves were being held open.
I also saw a GS750 once where just one spark plug was fouled, and when I looked…
Well, it’s not that common of a case, really.

After adjusting the fuel level properly, it started right up!
