So I carefully checked the carburetor
and there are only three float gaskets… did I mess up the order?
It’s my fault for not checking! Since I want to start the engine today, I borrowed one from the parts bike for a temporary fit
I drained everything from the drain, filter, and oil cooler.
In the meantime, I peeked through the exhaust and intake ports to make sure the inside looks okay
I removed the plugs, dripped a little oil, and turned it over slowly…
Oh yeah, nice!
It started without any trouble!
I’m short on parts again, so I’m reordering!
The tank came back from rust removal and coating today!
It’s come back to life!
Of course, the ceiling needs rust removal and coating too, or it won’t make sense. All set!
Goal: completion next weekend!
That might be a bit of a stretch?
