Heading out on a trip to Kyushu tonight, apparently.
Time for an oil change, they say.
Wondering what oil viscosity to go with.
What’s nice about Newtech engine oil is that you can mix it to adjust the viscosity.
Plus, the dealer has data on the “viscosity differences” and “viscosity index” based on the mixing ratios.
So it’s not just a matter of “10W-50 is thick” or “5W-40 is thin.”
Even with the same 10W-50, the NC50 and NC41 have different values.
I think it’s fun to experiment and find the right balance.
