Yesterday I was steadily working on Decoboco maintenance.
We went to get the inspection done, came back, and then handled orders and other things before Golden Week,
so the actual work happened today.
The bike is clean, probably because it was stored well.
The lever area and pedal area have lost some grease though.
The side stand has gotten pretty loose too.
I checked the wheel bearing play and got it spinning smoothly.
The caliper is in good condition, so I gave it a light wash, applied metal rubber, and it snaps right back.
The fluid on every bike looks like green tea.
The color changes from green tea to oolong tea to black coffee over time.
As for the ram air, when you apply the included oil it gets really sticky.
Plus, applying it increases intake resistance quite a bit, so I’m not a fan.
This one already had it applied, so I washed it with hot water and detergent, but it didn’t come back to life.
Please replace it sometime.
I changed the oil too and was shocked—almost 4 liters came out!
The carburetor settings were a bit off, so I made a light adjustment.
And that’s how it turned out.
