It’s a DIO I got as a hand-me-down. The lathe shop is right next to our place, and the guy who runs it next door is always striking up conversations with me.
The conversations aren’t about anything important and they go on forever, so I try to avoid eye contact and just head out to work.
A while back there was an abandoned bike sitting around, so I asked him, “Hey, you don’t need this thing, do you?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll take it, but I haven’t run it in about six years now…” Hmm.
I happened to have a seized DIO lying around the shop, so I swapped out the carburetor, changed the gas, and it fired right up ★
Yeah, yeah. But the muffler clogs up right away—I went with a Yahoo Auctions China muffler and it’s doing over 60 kilometers per hour now.
The face looks good—it’s a later model—the seat’s torn so I wrapped it in a garbage bag, and of course it’s got drum brakes front and rear!
Today I did some sticker tuning and swapped the spark plug, then waxed it up, but it’s raining outside…
