So last night I was tired and came home without starting the engine. Time to fire up the GS!

After all that work, did the valve timing slip? That shouldn’t happen…
What I removed yesterday
1. Cam
2. Spark plug
3. Carburetor
4. Pulsar
5. Horn
Hmm—did the valve timing really slip? It’s scary, so I decided to check it once…
What a pain…
It’s lined up right! Well, whatever—let me just put the cover back on…
The spark is jumping, so that’s good (the plug was old so I replaced it)
Aha—I must have plugged the spark plug cap in wrong. I’m such a klutz! (I even marked them)
It’s lined up right! What’s going on? This is weird!
Well, let me try cranking it anyway—and it went “BANG” from the muffler…
That solved everything!
When you plug in the correct caps 1–4 and 2–3 backwards…

The contactless rotation pickup was 180 degrees reversed!
