I had so many photos that I thought I’d post comments on the evening of the 23rd, but…
My home computer finally gave up the ghost.
Since it’s a 98, I can finally say goodbye to it!
On 5/23, the weather was perfect and conditions were absolutely ideal.
All the bikes that showed up were oil-cooled!
Four GSF1200s and one Bandit1200.
The outside temperature was pretty hot, but the breeze was cool and it was really comfortable to ride in—you only get weather like this a few times a year.
There was a contact that looked like someone had crashed—a really dangerous situation developed.
At turn 13, a CBR1000RR ran wide, and when it was passed on the inside, the wide CBR forced its way
back to the inside of the course and made contact with the boss!
The carbon fairing in back cracked and it almost went down—whether it didn’t crash was a matter of skill or just plain luck!
The CBR rider, of course, did crash.
Unexpected line changes on the track can cause serious accidents, so everyone please be careful out there.
