This is a kit to convert the GSF1200 from hydraulic to cable-operated clutch.
The effort required to pull the clutch doesn’t change much.
But the big difference is how the engagement works. With the stock hydraulic system, from the point where the clutch is fully disengaged to where it starts to bite,
the half-clutch zone is very small, and engagement happens quite far in (the lever travels a good distance before anything happens).
With a cable system, power transfers proportionally to how much you release it (sorry if that’s confusing!), so the operation is extremely linear
and precise! Plus you don’t have to change clutch fluid anymore, so I love it! Yeah!
This clutch wire kit comes ready to bolt on for ¥30,000 (before tax).
It won’t work on Bandits or GS1200SS that have a speed sensor, though.
