Emergency plan! The boss suddenly says, “Want to grab some Takeoka ramen??”
Hmm?? Chiba, huh? I was kind of hoping to go to Yugawara, so I wasn’t too keen on it…
Well, let’s just go! We agreed to meet at the shop at 11 (of course I overslept)
We hopped on the Yokohama-Yokosuka expressway and headed to Kurihama! We’d be taking the ferry from here.
I was pretty excited about riding the ferry again after so long.
We boarded the ferry, took a short break (about 30 minutes), and arrived.
It’s surprisingly close! We found it just about 10 minutes after we got off.
We dug right in. The broth is pitch black and piled high with chashu pork.
Of course the noodles are dried! It’s kind of like Sapporo Ichiban, but “delicious!” It’s pretty good!
But I guess it tastes better when you eat it in a place like this. ♪
We rode for a bit and headed out to grab some sashimi. Apparently it’s a place run by the fishery cooperative at the harbor.
I was already full, so I just had the three-piece sashimi platter.
He went for the simmered fish set meal…
“Delicious!” That’s the harbor for you! Makes sense! Sashimi for just 470 yen!
