Obon these days

 

 
So this Obon season, you know~
Power outages, scorching heat, crazy busy, and all I do is complain!
I haven’t updated for about two days. The MJ engine is finished, so now we’re just waiting for anodizing.
Once that arrives, the number of bikes here should drop quickly.
Because of Obon, bikes aren’t leaving, parts aren’t arriving, outside contractors are closed, customers are out for the holidays and unreachable—that sort of thing.
Since nothing’s leaving, we’ve ended up in a situation where people who want to drop off their bikes can’t.
I want to work out detailed schedules with customers going forward. If a customer can’t pick up their bike because of their own schedule, we’ll charge a storage fee.
That’s what I’m thinking.
I went out to Ichigaya again yesterday. The weather was perfect, and the fish were biting like it was early spring.
With a catch like that lately, it was fantastic—seven kilos and five break-offs in two hours. The last hour was
completely skunked. I wasted time, but it was incredibly fun.
A lot of people’s inspections are expiring this time of year, really~
