We’re closing at 6 PM today, so we won’t be open in the evening.
So they asked if we could do an engine rebuild on an oil-cooled bike, and we got right to tearing it down.
An engine that’s barely been run anywhere except the track is incredibly clean—engines like this are a breeze to work on!
The thing is, bikes like the Z and GS have fewer parts, which is nice, but bolts snap and things get stuck when you try to remove them.
It’s rough. Oil-cooled bikes from this era are smooth sailing though—really nice to work on.
Now let’s clean it up and do a thorough inspection. Here we go!
