Getting Dark Early…

 

 
It really does get dark early these days. Once it passes 5 o’clock, it’s already pitch black! It makes the day feel so short.
The other day I had the chance to test ride an SS with front and rear Öhlins installed (it was for a feature in a certain magazine).
The feel was completely different from our naked bikes. How do I put it—it had this amazing “gradual” sensation to it.

It really is set up for hard braking and high load handling! It felt circuit-oriented. With this kind of setup, no matter how
strong a brake system you bolt on, the fork just won’t give up.
Basically, when I test ride, I go full throttle and then immediately full brake to constantly check how the brakes feel and how much the suspension compresses.
The input feel was something I’d never experienced before, and I really liked it. Even when I grabbed the brakes hard,
the front dives in linearly. This is cutting-edge technology!
Today was supposed to be my day off, but it turned into a complicated day where I had to be here even though I wasn’t actually working…
