Surprisingly, not many people replace or even inspect bearings here, right?
If you leave them alone, things can get really scary, so watch out!!
We recommend replacing them around 20,000 kilometers.

The other day, the owner said “there’s a strange noise,” so I took it for a test ride. When I rev it up with a “vroom,” I hear a “clicking” sound.
There’s an abnormal noise coming from the rotating parts—I could confirm it was a metallic sound, so I narrowed it down to two likely culprits.
Front sprocket area issues or wheel bearing problems—those two.

The explanation is tedious, so I’ll skip the details. It looks like the grease had completely dried up and failed.
Even with sealed bearings, grease can leak out and water can get in. Since this is a discarded bearing, I removed the seal.
I want you to see the difference in the amount of remaining grease inside.
Interestingly, some manufacturers don’t even use sealed bearings, so check them when you change your tires.
