Various work is progressing simultaneously and things are subtly falling behind. With all the procedures related to the move, my head is constantly in overdrive.
By the way, I couldn’t remove the piston from the first generation. The reason I struggled was resin was completely embedded in the recessed part of the piston .
If this part had been free, I could have removed it with a bearing puller, but I couldn’t do that either, so I had a tough time.
I was filming a video and forgot to take pictures…. This is how the dust seal area looks particularly bad.
If you think the brake caliper piston movement is poor, an immediate overhaul is the quickest and most efficient solution . Spending time just washing it won’t fix it.

Since it’s not anodized and is raw, it naturally corrodes. Although the body has some corrosion, it should still be usable.
While replacing seals during overhaul is important, it’s even more important to clean the seal groove very thoroughly and create a situation where the seal functions in the proper shape.
