It’s cloudy out – it’ll be humid when it clears up. I’ve been commuting by bicycle lately, and I’ve got to say, riding a bike is harder than I thought, or maybe I’m just too scared to go fast.
I can’t bring myself to speed up.
First off, there’s no helmet! That’s definitely scary. And since you can ignore one-way signs on a bike, the mirror at intersections always points the wrong way.
There’s no rearview mirror! You can’t tell if a car is coming up behind you.
That’s what scares me. Well, not that it matters.
Today I was converting a Katana to a bar-handle setup, but it wasn’t going well, so I got discouraged. Then I moved on to making small parts for S. Oda’s GSF.
Halfway through, a 5052 aluminum plate snapped, so I wanted to pop over to Togashi’s to pick up a replacement.
But there’s no scooter! The bicycle won’t cut it for that distance. So I waited until 4 p.m., but nobody showed up, so I borrowed Ogi’s scooter from the back and went shopping.
I had wanted to go to Tama this week for a structural modification job, but the weather looks iffy, so let’s push it to next week.
Work piling up, rain coming down.
Kick!
