Decoboco here, completely forgetting to post because of how hectic the weekend was.
Well, first things first! This coming weekend, some folks are heading to FSW to blow off steam, so participants, do your best!
Me? I’m stuck waiting—my wheels haven’t come back from paint yet, so I’m off the bike for a while.
I’m aiming to level up my skills with bicycle commuting, walking, and rock-paper-scissors!
Last night we had an epic “Sangenjaya GP” fishing tournament! The participants were Decoboco, the Village Chief, and Bogey—three of us.
The prize was a meal tour: last place gets 75%, second place gets 25%, and first place eats free.
So we started. I was going at it steadily and stoically, and within the first 15 minutes I’d already landed five fish—totally in control.
I hate watching other people fish, so I just kept my head down and stayed focused.
Then Bogey, on his first visit, actually caught something! He was right next to me, so I couldn’t help but notice…
“Seriously? You’re catching fish on your first try? Could you be the next Tom?”
Then a few minutes later… “Hey, that’s not allowed!” the staff called out. Yellow card!!
“Huh? Who’s getting in trouble?” I looked up, and it was Bogey with the yellow card!!
Are you serious? Are you serious? I’ve never seen anyone get a warning before, let alone heard about it! A yellow card on your first visit!
That takes guts. Apparently he was fishing for fish on the surface without putting the float in the water.
Final results: 1st place, Village Chief, 36 fish; 2nd place, Decoboco, 28 fish; 3rd place, Bogey, 17 fish.
So we went for okonomiyaki, but it was past 10 p.m., so we had to settle for “Bochibo,” a casual spot.
We had our okonomiyaki. After the three of us ate and got the bill, the staff said, “That’s 13,557 yen!”
Just as expected—it’s hitting like a mahjong hand with all fives!
Next time we’re holding the Ichigaya GP. We’re looking for participants!
Ah, fishing ponds! ♪
