So what’s on the menu today? A ZRX1100 with over 20,000 miles on it, and the owner has never adjusted the valve clearance.
Now that’s dedication! The clearances were way off, and fortunately the shim size matched the final oil-cooled model, so we made it work!
We wrapped it up quick, but we’re missing a gasket, so we’ll have to carry this over to tomorrow or later.
The chain is slack and stretched out. Just like the engine, the whole bike needs a proper maintenance!
Push-starting it is going to be so much easier now—that alone makes me happy!
By the way, our recommended chain oil (CPOR) at 3,000 yen is a pain to apply! We’ve just stocked a much easier-to-use
oil applicator. 800 yen!
