Debris has accumulated like this.
And corrosion in the grooves pushes the seal out, leaving it pitted.
The piston extends easily with hydraulic pressure, but the return is tricky.
If it retracts too much, the feel becomes spongy and rolling improves a bit.
But poor return causes dragging, making everything heavy—braking, lever pull, everything.
The bleeder nipple clogs too, so please blow it out with air.
