Well, we’ve arrived at the inn! Since we did a preliminary inspection, there’s no getting lost.
From the impressive front entrance through the hallway… once you turn past the bathroom, it’s just a regular inn.
It’s an inn where only the front gate was renovated. But since it’s cheap, we’ll let it slide!
They said they couldn’t prepare alcohol, so we headed to the liquor store to buy some.
We decided to buy at a convenience store about a five-minute walk away, and the alcohol section was packed with customers during the holiday.
We didn’t back down and made our purchases: twenty-four 500ml beers, three 6L bottles of Jinro, and a 500ml bottle of whiskey.
We bought snacks and mixers, but it was heavy, so we negotiated with the old store manager. We asked him to “carry it for us because it’s heavy.”
He agreed without hesitation, we loaded it into the light truck, and we arrived safely.
Since we still had time, we went to the hot spring. We got a little wet from the rain earlier,
so it was perfect timing. After a quick bath, we were lounging in our room when it hit 7:15…
The banquet runs from 7 to 10 PM. We dashed to the banquet hall and even though we got scolded for being late, it was a fun gathering.
Let’s get drinking. Staying overnight is pretty easy…
After just twenty minutes of lounging around, you start craving entertainment! And there it is—a karaoke DAM machine!
Let’s get started! ♪ When we looked at the song book, something seemed off—it was less than half full…
Whoa! It’s not connected… We’re stuck! Are there any songs we can sing???
There aren’t any… Michelle only has “Baby Stardust” and Blankey only has “Saturday Night.”
That’s it. Nothing else! And “Jet Ninja” isn’t there either, so we’re disappointed.
Frustrated, we started singing loudly! We won’t lose to the banquet next door!
The innkeeper came and asked if we could close the window. We shut it. Slam!
Then we kept singing! We got a second warning: “Please close the window.”
“Uh, that window isn’t even open,” we replied.
“Oh? I see. The building next door said it was noisy,” she said.
Feeling bad, we sang more quietly. We were still going at it before 9 PM.
Sakura, being a spoiled brat, forcefully said “That’s enough, let’s go outside! Let’s go to Yugawara! Yugawara!” and started wrapping things up.
How domineering! We pretended not to hear and kept singing with the boss, but we were no match and the banquet ended.
We all gathered in the second-floor room.
Sakura really, really wanted to go, so he started persuading the six of us. He genuinely wanted to go.
Somehow it turned out we could play mahjong, so we split into a mahjong team and a Yugawara team.
Me, Maji, King, and the boss started playing mahjong.
Five-point games, one-two rounds, no chips, hand-dealt—it was tedious. We only managed three and a half rounds before getting sleepy and quitting.
It’s surprisingly fun. Meanwhile, Sakura came back from Yugawara in a great mood, saying “Wow, I drank a lot!” ♪
Maji and I took a bath in the 24-hour bath, then went downstairs to get our luggage and it was so loud—so loud—
The snoring was so loud!! There’s no way we could sleep in that room!! So we moved to the second floor.
The second floor was the mahjong team’s room, and it was quiet and perfect. But we were startled by sleep talk
“Ugh, I’m exhausted! Ugh, I’m so exhausted!” said twice, and we wondered if it was about the mahjong.
There were mosquitoes coming through the window even in this season, probably because there’s a warm area outside the hot spring.
I got bitten on the sole of my foot and was in agony, unable to sleep…
