Let’s get to the installation.
Always make a template on paper first—don’t just start sticking it on or you’ll mess up!
If there’s no damage, degrease and clean the surface thoroughly.
Then apply primer! Don’t move the brush too fast or you’ll get air bubbles.
Primer makes a huge difference in adhesion, so always use it.
Let it dry. Get it dry enough to touch lightly (but don’t press hard!).
Apply it with the final shape in mind. (Keep the most visible areas clean; creases are unavoidable in some spots.)
Warm it with a hair dryer as you go—it stretches amazingly!
It’s not perfect, but you can peel and reposition it after application, so it’s pretty forgiving.
This turned out great! It’s nothing like the carbon finishes I’ve used before!
It might look a little budget-conscious, but small details like this can look really sharp!
