Time for a Quick Trip

Decoboco here, getting down to real work starting at 8 a.m.
It’s hot ■ the sun rises early ▲ and other reasons wake me up in the morning…
Two motorcycle inspections in the morning, parts orders, and if the parts arrive, let’s go! ♪
But not all the parts came in, so it’s a no-go.
Shoppe sent me an email saying “Bright going?” The content’s a bit different, but something like that.
Well, I’ve got most of my work done, so I figured I’d pay my summer respects to the big shots at “Bright Logic,” Takenaka and Watari.
Gotta do it ★
Headed home to change, grabbed a gift or two, and now I’m heading to Atsugi with sweets made by the pastry chef who’s currently ranked #1 on the Decoboco ranking ★
Off we go ★ to Atsugi…
Got the car out and cranked the AC—nice and cool inside. Can’t do that on a bike ★
Made it through the traffic just fine ★ said a quick hello, chatted a bit, then got out of the way since they were working.
Time to go ★
Actually, the real reason I asked for the car was because I wanted to pick up some blinds and curtains on the way back.
Headed to IKEA Minato-Mirai and met up again 20 minutes later, splitting up inside…
I always carry a notebook with my shopping list, so I zoomed around looking for stuff… but no luck!
Sold out. So I just grabbed something else instead.
Man, having a car sure makes you want to haul everything—this thing’s 180 centimeters long!
The boss was waiting at the store, but had some business at Uniqlo.
It’s on the way back on Meguro Street, so we stopped by.
Couldn’t find anything no matter how hard I looked, so I asked the female clerk, “Excuse me, where would these underwear—pants, I mean—in this fabric be?”
# Right over here! This is it! #
That’s a T-shirt, right? Pants. P-a-n-t-s. Underwear.
# Oh, o-v-e-r h-e-r-e #
But that’s a T-shirt! We just released pants in this fabric, so let me check for you.
# Okay, be right back # …so I wait. Then Shoppe calls out, “Hey, hey, check this out!”
What is it? That’s cool ★ For real ★
Shows me a “Hajime no Ippo” T-shirt from a magazine collaboration.
“That’s total anime nerd. It’d be better if it was Kamogawa Gym instead,” he says with a sharp critique.
The female clerk comes looking for me, who’d disappeared.
# A small store like ours doesn’t stock it, and since it came out in April, we’re out of stock. #
I thought, “But it just came out,” but there was no point arguing, so I bought it online at Uniqlo instead.
Got back to the shop, checked out a Silver Wing that was leaking oil, and called it a day.
Wanted to upload photos but forgot the cable—bummer ~
Really glad to have had the car today.
