I’m not just amazed by how beautiful it is.
What amazes me is that it’s been kept in this condition for 43,000 kilometers, 10 years, and all that time stored outside.
Now that I’ve cooled down a bit, I’ll check the stem while I’m at it, replacing the fork oil. ★
According to the owner, the bearings were replaced once—quite a while ago.
Oh, there’s still grease left in there!
I’ll wipe the race and check it. ★ Looking good! It’s reusable.
When you assemble it with low-viscosity grease that’s heat-resistant, it moves really smoothly.
Keep the tightness as loose as possible—right before play develops. That’s the sweet spot.
I think this bike is going to come back to life quite a bit with this service.
