When new bikes leave the factory, the lubricant quantity is often minimal and everything is tightened up, which can result in stiff movement.
If there’s not enough lubricant, the resistance gets worse, and in severe cases you end up needing to replace the bearings.
That’s why I think it’s best to do cleaning and lubrication early on.
So we disassembled it, and the bike’s condition is excellent and really clean—we’re satisfied with the work.
