Cat Theory

Argh!
Ugh, I fell asleep again.
The rain was pouring down, and it made for such a pleasant temperature—
I dimmed the lights with the remote to an orange glow
and rolled around on the bed.
With the circulator fan spinning away,
I wonder if I’m craving something different, or if all my stuff just keeps multiplying.
In a way, I think that’s actually right.
If you have the means, you might as well get what you want; if you don’t, you just have to accept it.
But in the end, don’t we get tired of everything?
With vehicles, you definitely need that feeling of “Oh, this is nice! This is fun!” when you ride them.
But there’s also the reality that you spend more time not riding them than riding them.
It’s cool but dangerous—that’s not good.
Maybe as we all get older, we develop the luxury of appreciating things just for the joy of looking at them.
Something tailored to your taste,
something you never tire of and can keep for a long time,
something easy to handle—
that’s the ideal, right? Nothing lasts forever, so eventually everything becomes old hat,
but wouldn’t it be nice to have a treasure like that around you?
That’s what I thought watching the fan blades spin round and round.
It doesn’t have to be a bike—a pen, a notebook, a bag, anything really.
I slept for two hours, and now I’m in a pickle…
Meow meow.
