So we’re removing the wheels to inspect the bearings and such!
The front is pretty tight with the bearings pressed in hard,
and they won’t spin at all by hand.
We remove the oil seal to check how tightly it’s been pressed in,
and oil seals really do make a difference.
The shaft and collar get worn down before the seal even makes contact.
A sealed bearing keeps water out, but on the road it’s no problem.
The bearings are shielded anyway! ★
When I carefully used a rotary tool with a grinding stone to polish it, I was like “Oh! That looks nice!” ★
