Well, the road ahead is full of challenges.
Since I don’t know what condition it’s in, I’ll reuse the carburetor parts for now.
I don’t have time to soak it in carburetor cleaner,
so I’ll heat all the jets and burn out the clogs—not ideal, but it works.
Then I gently chuck it in the lathe and polish it clean.
“But residue stays inside, so replacement is better if possible.”
The float valve O-ring is seeping slightly, and two of them had O-rings,
but two were missing, so temporary fix.
The carburetor just won’t fit ★
Heave-ho—it went in, but it’s tilted!
The cam chain tensioner is making solid contact…
I replaced the battery and found some wiring co-bolted to the positive terminal running all the way back…
Following it, I found it cut halfway through with exposed wire ★
I removed the spark plug, cranked the engine to circulate the oil properly.
The engine started successfully. It’s running quietly, but it’s blowing white smoke—
