The oil seal really grips tight.
Rubber parts are surprisingly stubborn, so the spacer ends up getting worn down instead.
I polish it until it spins smoothly.
It’s not flashy, but the wheel seems to roll a bit better when the bike is lifted off the ground.
Aluminum spacer up front, steel spacer in the rear.
I chuck the rust in the lathe and sand it smooth with sandpaper.
