Well, here we are.
With the motor and magnetic switch failing one after another, I was at my wit’s end.
I shouldn’t look back and think, “Maybe it would have been faster to just toss it out?” But I did.
I’m not giving up, dammit.
When I looked at the magnetic switch wiring, there was the pressure gauge, the power switch, and the intermittent/continuous switch.
The motor " pressure switch and all those wires—there were a ton of them.
I was stumped. And it’s 200 volts, too.
I didn’t want a fire on my hands.
So I had a pro take a quick look and swap it out in no time.
Phew!
Lessons learned:
If the magnetic switch goes “buzz,” replace it right away.
If the magnetic switch cuts out on its own, replace it right away.
Workaround: spin the motor manually—watch out for burnout.
