The pads are completely worn down.
The rust is terrible.
I figured polishing just the caliper alone would be a waste of time, so I removed the pistons.
With the lathe and a little bit of polishing,
it comes out clean, but since “the plating gets thinner and it rusts more easily,” you have to be careful not to overdo it.
Well, next time it’ll be seal and piston replacement.
Just a pad and disc swap ended up taking three and a half hours.
Parts removal is pretty much done.
