Continuing from yesterday. Let’s fabricate and install a seat lock.

Drilling holes on the seat side. Using a laser to confirm the position is really quick and efficient.

The camera and video equipment are really well made and very convenient to use.

Welded the plate with nut that we made. The discoloration from welding is pretty intense as always.

Took a mold of the thickness between the lock and seat base to get a rough idea.

Lightly smoothed out the areas that looked like they might break.

Playing it safe so nothing melts unexpectedly and causes trouble.

Since the iron is old, it’s good that it didn’t bubble up strangely.

Snap! It closes and we’re done. It looks simple, but the prep work actually takes quite a bit of time.
