This is a pad condition we sometimes see on vehicles with replaced calipers—the upper side is making contact.
If the outer diameter doesn’t match, there will be excessive play in the mounting bolts and support, so it’s essential to align the assembly with the disc back.
If the disc isn’t protruding beyond the pad, you’ll end up with a pad like the one we saw earlier. It’s fine to grind the pad to match the disc.
The diaphragm plate is missing, so we’ll order one for you.
