
The stock calipers were in rough shape, so rather than invest in them, we’re using the owner’s spare calipers.

The deterioration is quite severe and getting worse.

Re-anodizing would leave us uncertain about the finish, so we’re doing some sanding and applying touch-up paint for rust protection.

You have to work carefully or it gets risky. And leaving it alone going forward is a bad idea.

These calipers are also known for cracking along vertical lines like fibers. You need to be careful not to over-tighten the banjo bolts and nipples.

It’s really simple and looks great. AP is good too, but I think old Brembo has its own charm.

This might seem trivial, but I often find myself wondering whether to route the speedometer cable on the inside or outside.
Running it on the outside improves caliper removal and installation, and the speedometer cable acts as a stopper so the hose doesn’t rub against the fender or other parts.
