With the new year, I have a fresh, blank page. I want to make this year’s page one I can read back through without vague scribbles, a year I can actually review.
This year too, I want to focus fully on my work.
Not everyone thinks the same way, but I’ve noticed that the smaller the gap between a customer’s expectations and their final satisfaction with the finished work, the higher the smile index tends to be.
Some people want only the requested work done. Others seek more. But those expectations vary from person to person, and I can’t always meet them all.
I think about the deeper meaning behind the feelings conveyed in words and emails every day, hoping that better communication methods between us will develop.
Every job carries risk and return. Rather than digging and filling repeatedly, I want to be able to offer various proposals suited to each situation.
I believe that maintaining a stable state consistently, rather than chasing big wins, is unglamorous but truly important.
2015 has begun. This year will fly by too, but I want to offer various proposals at just the right temperature—not overcooked.
